a safe space. room for vulnerability. a place that feels like home. women who celebrate each other. a group of protection. family.

All of these things and more are Haven, my team of 8 for the next 8 months! I am on the World Race with a squad of 46, but within that we are split into teams of 7-9. In these smaller groups we share meals, testimonies, bible study, times of gratitude, spaces to process, lots of laughing, and so much love!

We have specific ”team time” each night from 6-7pm and it looks a little different each night!

Monday: Debrief (talk about the past week and how we are doing in all areas)

Tuesday: Gratitude (thank God for all of the AMAZING blessings within this season)

Wednesday: Bible Study (spending time together in the Word—right now Haven is studying the book of Ruth!)

Thursday: Feedback (a space to affirm each other in ways that we are resembling Christ, but also to encourage each other in ways that we can grow! This has been very new for most of us, but so fruitful already!)

Friday: Create Your Own (whatever the team needs to end the week—a picnic, a walk, arts & crafts, games)

Now…..time to meet MY TEAM!!!!!!!!!!

Morgan

morgs, moose, morg-y, mom<3

this is my sweet Team Leader (she did the Race last year & is with us for the first 3 months). She is gentle, a humble leader, passionate, so much fun, and the weirdest weirdo ever :p ! We are so lucky to get the chance to sit in her wisdom and learn from her experience! (I LOVE YOU MORG)!!!

Katherine

kath, kathy chan, KC

WOW what a woman. She is wise, intentional, and one of the most strong women I’ve ever met. She chooses to put her flesh and self aside every day and serves with no expectation of anything in return. what a sweet friend the Lord gave me in you Kath, He definitely knew we needed each other 😉

Maddie

mads, madison

we joined WR at the same time last July, and the way our friendship has grown over the past year-ish has been so cool. (we are still shocked we ended up on the same team, thanks God!!) Maddie is a truth-seeker in all areas of her life and the way that she is so quick to look up with any and all questions is a huge encouragement. MY GIRL keep it up sis.

Adelyn

ads, A, addy (mom haha)

Adelyn is a BOLD leader! She chooses joy when it is not the fun or easy thing to do, but she never stops there! She is always inviting other people into the things she is experiencing and has already been the shoulder to cry on that I’ve needed. I love you so much & getting to be your *daughter* 🙂

Haley

hal, hales

joy and sunshine and all things good in human form! Hal is so full of abundant joy and life that can only come from the Father and it so clearly does! She chooses Him and His protection in every circumstance, and her positivity is one of Haven’s biggest assets!

Celia

ceal, cece, SOUL SISTER

if you ever get the chance to spend even an hour with this girl, TAKE IT. her vulnerability, discernment, sensitivity, wisdom, and welcoming presence is unlike anyone I’ve ever met. She is bold in her beliefs, yet so open at the same time. If home-y-ness was a person, it would be ceal (i love u so much wow).

Lexi

lex, alex

Lex brings the fun to Haven and is always so quick to remind us of the goodness of the Lord. She’s willing to grow, so humble always, and she chooses to push into hard things to become more like Jesus (its already happening and I’m SO lucky to have a front row seat)! A fellow Texas-girl is good for my soul and I am SO thankful to have you on my team!!

Thanks so much for reading and I am so glad I got to share such a special part of life right now, the BEST TEAM EVER!!!

His love + mine,

  1. BREE!!! Finally!! Been waiting for someone, anyone, on Squad H to introduce their team! YOU are the first!…..and Team Haven – my favorite! (insert heart emojis!) Thanks so much for all your kind words, fun pictures, and the love and adoration that just spills from this blog. Encourage your squad mates and teammates to do the same. I wanna read 39 of these in the next few weeks. Love you, Sister.
