Hello everyone!!

I hope you’re all doing well. Its Sunday morning and I’m sitting in a coffee shop in ECUADOR!!! We got here last Thursday night after a long few days of travel. We took a 4 hour bus ride to Johannesburg, South Africa and then got on our first 12 hour flight to Istanbul, Turkey. We had a quick 2 hour layover before hopping on a 10 hour flight to Bogota, Columbia. After that was a 2 hour flight from Bogota to Panama City, Panama! We had a few hours in the Panama airport to grab dinner and then one last 2 hour flight to Quito, Ecuador, our home for the next two months!

We are working with a ministry called Inca Link that works in various countries all over Central and South America. Our squad lives in a house, Casablanca, and we are split into new teams for the last two months! We got the opportunity to choose our ministry and then we were redivided into new ministry groups. Out of the six teams, three will be leaving during the week and living around an hour away at their ministry points! It will be a big adjustment only having twenty people at home during the week instead of forty, but I am excited for how the Lord is going to grow new friendships! (Our first day of ministry is tomorrow and I will update you on what it looks like in a few weeks!)

South Africa was a very stretching season for myself and for the squad as a whole. We had a total of 5 squad mates leave the field for various reasons and it was extremely hard. We live in such a close knit community that became like family so quickly, and it makes losing an person super difficult. Please join me in praying for all of the people that are home now and that they would be able to process the last 7 months and adjust well!

I am so excited for all the Lord is going to do during my time in Ecuador. As I was praying over the next two months the Lord spoke a lot about rhythms. He is beginning to teach me the importance of consistency in my relationship with Him despite what is happening around me. Whether I am in South Africa or Ecuador or at home, the Lord is with me and I get to choose to seek and pursue more of Him every day!

I can’t wait to see and explore more of Ecuador and get started in a new ministry. Please be praying for my squad and for our new teams. Pray for our ministry points and that hearts would be softened to the gospel over the next two months! Pray for divine appointments outside of ministry times and that we would be bold no matter where we are! Pray for language barriers and knowledge as many of my squad mates are learning Spanish right now and I am translating along with a few others!

Thanks for reading and I can’t wait to write soon!!

His love + mine,

bree
